Quick question as I believe I understand what is causing this problem. Did you by chance change your password 6-8 weeks ago? Does it have any non alpha characters?

Hi - I have had difficulty uploading my files to smug mug off and on for the last 6-8 weeks! I have downloaded the latest version over and over again, to no avail. Here is what happens: I right click to STS, the STS screen is displayed but ALWAYS asks for my logon and password (this never happened for the first year of my contract with SMUG MUG). When...

I was getting the Dpapi error too. I unistalled and reinstalled and that error went away. However - when I try to login now I get a "There was an error logging into SmugMug. Re-enter your username and password." pop-up window with a window title of "Login error". So - it's not a .net error, but it doesn't look like my username...

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Dpapi, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. This version gives a different error when trying to publish.
